Bathed in Luxury

… and surrounded by White Cedar.

We often begin and end our days in our bathrooms. While we want our baths to be functional, today we also want them to offer a modicum of comfort—even a sense of pampering. Spacious master bathrooms have become one of the most considered spaces in log home design; bathrooms are second only to kitchens when it comes to creating value and enjoyment in your White Cedar home. These often luxurious settings provide a refuge from hectic schedules and a place for pampering. In these spaces we can be assured privacy in an increasingly public world and stamp our unique identities in their finishes.

When it comes to great log home or timber home bathroom design, the inspiration is endless. By their very nature they allow a wide variation in creative design solutions and material choices. There are a few basic elements that each bathroom requires, and then there are the amenities that make it special to the owner; views are becoming ever more prominent. Be it a cascading backsplash of marble, glittering custom tile mosaics, or classic clean white porcelain, these spaces are secluded retreats from the rest of the world, especially when heated floors, aromatherapy and towel warmers add to the spa experience.

It’s called the Master Bathroom for a reason — it deserves to be show-stopping; it should make you smile every time you use it…

“There must be quite a few things that a hot bath won’t cure, but I don’t know many of them.”

~ Sylvia Plath

  • I have more questions and concerns about getting an oil-change than I do about this project.
