If Refined Rustic is your style, then pour yourself a glass of Abbey Ale by Ommegang. This ale is brewed with licorice root, star anise, sweet orange peel, coriander, and cumin. This deep burgundy, rich and malty ale uses several Belgian specialty malts and spices resulting in a very aromatic, flavorful beer. Suitable for cellaring, it would look great aging in the wine cellar of your handcrafted cedar home.

If you prefer the Seaside style home, we suggest trying the Two Hearted Ale by Bell’s Brewery, one of Michigan’s first brewers and the biggest producer in the area. The Two Hearted Ale has become a firm favorite among craft beer drinkers and is on a number of lists for the best beers nationwide and worldwide. Imagine enjoying this ale’s citrusy flavor while soaking on a lounger on the beach just steps away from your seaside home.

If owning a sweet little cottage in the woods sounds like a dream, then Bell’s Hopslam Ale, a seasonal, winter ale also from Bell’s Brewery would best be enjoyed with your feet up lounging in front of a cozy fire. The brewing process for Hopslam Ale starts with six different hop varietals added to the brew kettle and finishes with a massive dry-hop addition of Simcoe hops. The Pacific Northwest hop varieties are selected specifically because of their aromatic qualities and contribute an intense blend of grapefruit, stone fruit, and floral notes. A generous malt bill and a solid dollop of honey provide just enough body to maintain a pleasant balance.

If braving nature at high altitudes appeals to you, then the bold taste of Torpedo Extra IPA by Sierra Nevada will satisfy your adventurous spirit. Torpedo Extra has a smooth and bready malt presence and powerful hop aromas. Although it has a bitter and assertive hop flavor, it remains easy to drink with a nice dry finish.

If the fresh, contemporary and minimal style of home suits you best, then you might enjoy the Sofie Ale by Goose Island. Sofie is a Great American Beer Fest Bronze Medal Winner that is aged in white wine barrels with hand-zest orange peel. It pours yellow and cloudy and has a tart, fruity taste of tangerine, lemon and orange, with a hint of vanilla and pepper. Much like the Town and Country Cedar Homes’ sophisticated home style, Sofie is refreshing and interesting without being imposing.
