When Peter and Paulette Graves decided to build a summer home along 100 feet of Lake Charlevoix shoreline in northern Michigan, they were certain about two things:

1. They wanted a family-friendly home that would accommodate all of their loved ones.
2. They wanted a log home.

Soon they discovered that Town + Country Cedar Homes could deliver both — plus so much more. In fact, Town + Country handled practically all aspects of the Graves’ home project, from the site preparation to the preliminary design to building a finished log home for their family.

A Fresh Start

When a fire destroyed Steve and Janet Swanson’s traditional three-story home on Walloon Lake in Michigan, they turned tragedy on its head by taking the opportunity to build a new custom log home on their lakefront property that made up for the shortfalls of the other. Some of their requirements: a more authentic lake atmosphere, more living space and a log home — a sweet reminder of a house Janet’s parents once owned on the lake.
