Homeowner Manual & Survival Kit:
Whether building a luxury timber home or perhaps a quaint log cabin in a favored Northern Michigan vacation spot, Town & Country custom home clients begin their experience by receiving our Homeowner Manual. This manual is designed to guide the homeowner throughout the construction process as well as after moving into their new custom home. As a Michigan Builder, we know the importance of making sure client questions are answered in advance, and this manual answers many questions and prepares the homeowner for each step of the building experience. We also provide custom home clients with a “Homeowner Survival Kit”. This kit includes a few basic necessities that will be useful throughout the course of construction such as a measuring tape, architectural scales, calculator and tabbed binder to keep reports and communications organized. These tools are all enclosed in a personalized, Town & Country Cedar Home canvas Tote Bag -- perfect for your occasional meetings and site visits during the building of your custom home.
Service Newsletter:.jpg)
Construction Services issue a quarterly service newsletter to all existing Northern Michigan build clients. This digital newsletter features seasonal maintenance and care tips for our traditional log cabins, as well as custom luxury wooden homes of any style. We continually research and provide information to our clients on key maintenance, lifestyle, upgrades and interior design information. We work with subcontractors to make sure relevant topics of information are provided on a regular basis. It is our goal to keep clients educated and informed as they care for their very special home, in the region of the country they have come to love.
CONSTRUCTION SERVICES THROUGHOUT YOUR NORTHERN MICHIGAN BUILD:
Project Timeline:
At the beginning of each building project, the Project Manager provides the client with a critical path timeline which outlines each stage of construction with estimated completion dates.
Weekly Updates:
Once construction begins, your Project Manager will send you a weekly update each Friday until your custom home is complete. Often site photos are included with a description of the weekly progress of the construction project. We refer to this update as the Weekly Client Project Timeline Report.
3 & 11 Month Walk-Through:
In addition to a final walk-through, clients are contacted to schedule both a 3 month, and an 11 month walk-through of their new Town & Country custom cedar home. At this time the client's Project Manager and the Construction Coordinator will meet with the client to thoroughly inspect the home following these specific months of occupancy. With the client, any warranty or service items that may be present will be evaluated and resolved. Town & Country Construction Services is happy to review maintenance questions with clients at that or any other time. Clients are notified in writing in advance of each home walk-through.
