DEFINE YOUR LUXURY MICHIGAN DREAM HOME WITH EYEBROW WINDOWS
This custom Northern Michigan home utilizes radiused "Eyebrow Window" shapes to add character to the Town & Country Northern Michigan Cottage design. The radiused header of the Eyebrow Window is pre-constructed to exact dimensions in the Town & Country shop. Placement of this window into northern Michigan climates dictates that the construction team pays particular attention to dimensions for a tight fit. 
Inside this element is placed a top-quality Kolbe & Kolbe Half-Moon, dual paned window with grilles between the panes as shown in all of the home windows. (Figure A).

The interior of the Eyebrow bay is supported by multiple ribbed structure framework.The Exterior of the window receives a copper flashing treatment for waterproofing, and is sheathed in bendable plywood and then trimmed with Northern White Cedar on the exterior. (Figure B).

A western red cedar hand split shake is applied as roofing to comply with the overall Bay Harbor, Michigan, "cottage" architecture" of this custom Town & Country Cedar Homes design. (Figure C).
TURRETS AND TOWERS ADD COTTAGE APPEAL TO NORTHERN LUXURY MICHIGAN VACATION OR RETIREMENT HOMES
Complex drafting and structural engineering is required to place custom turrets and towers in your dream home design. Each structural component requires special design consideration and accuracy that starts in the Town & Country shop where each element is pre-constructed.
A shop craftsman has created laminated, radiused headers for the turret structure matching a finite dimensions from the drawings. (Figure A)
The size of these structural elements is shown in relationship to the delivery vehicle. (Figure B)

Each custom structural element of the home is pre-sized and then double checked for a perfect fit prior to final placement. (Figure C) 
As structural elements are incorporated into the framing of the home, the turret shape is revealed. (Figure D)

True turret shapes are round, not segmented, and require special sheathing material following the radius. (Figure E) 
On the interior framing of a turret, hundreds of framing members must be joined with great detail and accuracy to assure a perfect turret or tower in your Michigan luxury home. (Figure F) 
House wrap covers all structural elements before placement of windows, roof structure or exterior finish. The rear elevation of this home has multiple radiused elements including a telescoping turret on one corner and a two story turret on the other corner of the rear elevaand eyebrow window (Figure G). 
As the Northern Michigan Dream Home exterior is near completion, the interior of the Master Bedroom's turret starts to take shape as well, as drywall finish masks the intricate framing. This turret has two levels. (Figure H).
The second floor Guest Bedroom turret interior is completed and furnishings are brought for placement. This second story level of the home overlooks Lake Michigan from a Cinderalla Style guest suite. This telescoping turret has three levels, with the top level having a smaller radius. (Figure I) 
The lower level turret interior receives a sunny yellow paint and custom tile finish befitting the personal Spa and Exercise area of this stunning Northern Michigan Custom Home. This turret room is directly under the Master Bedroom turret sitting area. (Figure J.)

The exterior of this luxury Bay Harbor Northern Michigan Home is a cottage style, finished with decay and insect resistant Northern White Cedar Shakes in a grey pallet. White window trim and stone veneer is completed as landscaping begins (Figure K).
