The home is located on a steep hill, overlooking a pristine Northern Michigan inland lake. Its situation is perfect to make the most of the dramatic 3-story radial bay, creating a turret effect. This view shows off more of the custom window arrangements. Glass railings allows for unobstructed views.

Inside, the warmth and charm of our rustic white cedar lodge log walls and paneled ceilings make you just want to cuddle up to that cozy looking fire in the beautiful 2 story stone fireplace.

The dual structural king post trusses are the focal point of the great room. Hand crafting them is no easy task. They are engineered and graded for code, then steel is buried in the center and they are hand scribed to fit together. Disassembled, they are marked, wrapped and shipped to be reassembled on the job.

The decorative log rafters on the kitchen & dining room ceiling, along with the pine cabinets and the slate flooring carry the
rustic log feel throughout
the open main floor.

The lush view out the master bedroom is shared by every room in the home. The steepness of the lot gets you up close and personal with the treetops.

Upstairs, a catwalk finished with reclaimed hickory flooring separates the bedroom ‘wings’ There’s a bedroom on either side, each with a full bath, plus a bonus room over the garage, perfect for overflow company and a rec room
for the kids.

One of the upstairs bedrooms shares the 2nd floor radial bay. Its wagon wheel ceiling has been finished with white cedar paneling and hand hewn
log rafters.
The custom desk was fitted to wrap around the radial and shares the best views of the lush trees and the crystal clear lake just beyond.
